According to the New York Times, the scheme - called EvoGrid - is being modelled after the Seti@Home project which used spare computing cycles on people's PCs to try and analyse from space. • After strong reactions to the previews of Google Wave earlier this year, more than 100,000 people will get invites to the system on Wednesday .
